Vinyl Reupholstery

Marine-grade vinyl, built to last seasons.

Custom-fit marine vinyl reupholstery for boat seating, bolsters, sun pads, and helm cushions. Mildew-resistant, UV-stable, color-matched to your build, and stitched on commercial marine-thread machines so seams don't blow out by year three.

How it works

  1. 1

    Measure & quote

On-site or drop-off measurement of every cushion, bolster, and panel. Photos taken so we match seam layout exactly.

  2. 2

    Material selection

Pick vinyl colors, foam density (standard, firm, or extra-firm), stitch style, piping, and any custom embroidery.

  3. 3

    Pattern & cut

Original covers are carefully seam-ripped to use as templates, then re-cut from new marine vinyl on a clean cutting table.

  4. 4

    Sew

Stitched in-house on a walking-foot industrial machine with marine-grade UV-resistant thread. Most jobs ship in 1–2 weeks.

  5. 5

    Foam & install

Old foam is replaced if waterlogged or compressed. Covers are stretched, stainless-stapled, and reinstalled — we dial in the fit before you take the boat back.

The details

Materials that actually survive the lake

We work with Spradling, Morbern, and Nautolex marine vinyl. All are UV-stabilized, mildew-treated, anti-microbial, and rated for 1,500+ hours of accelerated weather testing. Foam is closed-cell so it doesn't absorb water if a seam ever fails.

Stitching matters more than fabric

Most factory boat seats fail at the thread, not the vinyl. We use Tenara or Sunguard PTFE thread — UV-stable, will not rot, and carries a multi-year warranty. Double-stitched seams on high-stress panels.

Color match or full redesign

Want to bring it back to factory? We'll color-match the original vinyl. Want to redo the whole interior in a new scheme — black and red, gray and orange, full white with contrast piping? We can mock it up before any vinyl gets cut.

FAQ

Can you redo just one panel?
Yes — single-cushion and single-bolster repairs are common. We do our best to match aged vinyl, but a full set will always look most consistent.
How long until I get my boat back?
Most full-interior jobs are 1–2 weeks once cushions are in our shop. Custom embroidery adds a few days.
Do you warranty the work?
Yes. Materials carry the manufacturer warranty (typically 3–7 years on vinyl); we warranty our stitching and install for 2 years.
